my REAL WORLD story....

SO, it has been WAY too long since my last blog. So i figured i have been watching MTV a lot lately and the new real world is starting and they have a cast member that was ME!!!! 

   So for those of you that haven't heard....long long time ago i tried out!!! ha ha ha...actually it was when i was 25...so almost 2 years ago. Me and a friend of mine went to longbeach while i was living out there and thought what the heck, lets try out. So we go to this bar and there were pretty much the last group to be there. So you could tell the people that were REALLY trying to hard to get on the show. 

   They gave us this paper and we had to fill out front and back of it. It was basically simple questions like where you were form, how old you were, what you've done in your life that is crazy, blah blah blah....then they took the group of us to a large table that we all sat around that just kinda got to know each other. Then they asked each of us to say our name, where we were from and then to tell what the biggest miss conception people have of us is. So people start going around and saying their stuff. Then it gets to the guy next to me. This guy is a TOTALLY meat head: Muscles, sleeveless shirt, drinking a beer. Then he said that people ALWAYS think he's straight, but he was TOTALLY gay!!! My turn and i was like, that's funny cause i am totally straight, but people ALWAYS think that i'm gay. The girls that were in charge of the whole group were so shocked.

So we finish things up and as we start to leave they say to all of us that if they're interested they will call us the next day. They're really quick about it all so that you don't have to worry if you don't get called cause it didn't work. Then as i was getting up to leave they grabbed me and said we really liked you and we need you to fill out this 17 PAGE APPLICATION!!! i didn't have time to do it there so i had to take it home. 

3 HOURS LATER!!!! i finally finished and then had to go to kinkos to fax it to this girl so they could go over it. I called the next day to make sure that they got it and that everything was good. i didn't think anything of it and really thought that it was all over. THEN about a week later i got a call, "JASON, we really liked you and we need you to come to LA for another interview." So i go up there a couple day later and go in a room with 5 different people (producers and casting people) and they are ALL interviewing me. They ask me about EVERYTHING i wrote on that application. "How did you feel when this happened?" "Why was THAT such a big deal in your life?" blah blah blah.....emotions, anger, crazy crazy crazy!!!! i seriously thought that i was going to DIE!!! they basically know how to PISS you off, make you CRY and just get under your SKIN!!! 

Any ways....time passed and they finally called me back again, "Jason, we liked you, but you are going to be turning 26 before we start filming. You're great and we're thinking about doing another fresh meat and we like to give you a call for that". Well, nothing ever happened, but it was a lot of fun trying out. Was such a cool experience and i have NO idea where i'd be right now in my life if i HAD done it. People had ALWAYS told me that i should do real world and i finally tried. Should have tried EARLIER!!! DANG ME!!! 

    So why am i blogging about this? WELL, i'm glad you asked. On this NEW season of real world they are going to be in Brooklyn and there is a guy on there that is MORMON and everyone always thinks he's gay, but he's not. So i am wondering how it turns out. i LOVE that show it's retarded, but growing up i used to ALWAYS watch it at my grandma's house every sunday when we would go to visit. So thanks grandma for getting me HOOKED!!!
